Answer

When using any conference call application such as Skype, Zoom, or Webex…etc., follow the setup steps to apply the preferred microphone device for your application.



(The following demonstration use Skype as an example)



1. Enable the microphone device by using the keyboard shortcut key (Fn+F6 or F6 depending on different models)



2. Open the system sound settings and set the preferred microphone device.



Click on Windows (Start) button > Settings > System > Sound



3. Run Skype and go to the Settings page to set the same microphone device that has been chosen in the system sound device.



4. Go to the privacy settings and make sure the application gets the full access for the chosen microphone device.



Check the microphone privacy setting is enabled in the Windows setting panel.



Click on Windows (Start) button > Settings >  Privacy & security > Microphone
