To keep the network connection active when in sleep mode and allow to receive notifications and play music, the system will consume more battery power.

To prevent the battery level drop quickly in sleep state. For the users who are used to put the laptop into sleep state by closing the lid or pressing the power button, it’s recommended to put the system enter hibernate mode instead of sleep mode when the system is not in use for a long period.
