Answer
When users plan to conntect external contollers such as Xbox360, DUALSHOCK 3/4 to play games on their devices, third-party tools such as ScpToolkit, Motioninjoy, Xpadder, etc., might be utilized to install drivers and enable controllers. In this circumstance, the SteelSeries GG and keyboard might malfunction and can't be identified by the system, thereby leading to incidents listed below:
1) Unable to adjust the keyboard backlit through SteelSeries GG.
2) Unable to adjust the color option of Matrix Bar
3) the Mystic Light option disappears in the MSI Center feature set.
4) Unable to type or key in any command through the keyboard.
Take ScpToolkit for example, after installing SteelSeries-related drivers through the third-party tool, SteelSereis ALC (Interface 0) will be misplaced under the LibusbK USB Devices generated by ScpToolkit and led to driver conflicts.
When the above incidents happened, please follow the instructions below to troubleshoot:
1) Clean Install MSI Center based on the instructions from FAQ 4147 [How to Clean Install MSI Center].
2) Self-check if third-party tools like ScpToolkit are installed or if controllers like Xbox 360, DUALSHOCK3/4, etc., are connected.
3) If yes, right-click SteelSeries ALC (Interface 0) under the libusbK USB Devices and click "Uninstall device".
4) In ScpToolkit interface, select all SteelSeries keyboard related drivers and click "Uninstall"
5) Reboot and check if keyboard-relevant drivers are placed correctly in Device Manager and such incidents have been solved.
