Users might encounter the problem that the microphone or the camera couldn't be accessed due to Windows 10 Version 1803 April 2018 Update. The cause could be the privacy setting of the microphone or the camera is disabled. 



To enable the function: 

1. Go to the Start menu > Settings > Privacy

A. Under the Microphone section:

1. Enable "Allow access to the microphone on this device".

2. Enable "Allow apps to access your microphone".

3. Under "Choose which apps can access your microphone", enable the applications that you want it to have the access.



B. Under the Camera section:

1. Enable "Allow access to the camera on this device".

2. Enable "Allow apps to access your camera".

3. Under "Choose which apps can access your camera", enable the applications that you want it to have the access.
