The MSI booth had so many people walking through it looking at new products that it left us with the impression of being at an open-air electronics market. We even met MSI's CEO Joseph Hsu while having our look at the showcase.

The company has introduced a new slogan for accelerating motherboard sales, too: all their latest products will be labeled "MSI 64, Now!" Well, MSI does not quite sell their own CPUs, but it looks as if most of these motherboards are ready for either AMD's or Intel's 64-bit processors.

MSI's nForce4 motherboard might be well equipped and is undoubtedly fast

What about a mouse that comes with a biometric sensor?

This tiny unit is one of several new MegaPlayers from MSI.

Turion 64 Notebook

There are not too many Turion 64 notebooks around these days. This one is based on the ATI RS480M, has a 12" 1280x800 display, and weighs in at 4.2 lb (1.9 kg).

 Dual GeForce 6800 Ultra

MSI is the third company to show off a product with dual GeForce 6800 Ultra graphics cards. However, they equipped their product with a pretty interesting differentiator: an SLI connector. This raises a pretty hot question: will these cards be able to be paired in an SLI system resulting in quad 6800 Ultra?

Characterizing ATI & NVIDIA

Another thing that had us smiling is MSI's displays of characters that are intended to symbolize ATI and NVIDIA (see pictures). Both of them can actually be found on some MSI product boxes.

RX800 Dual Features Both AGP & PCI Express

This could be one of the most interesting products at the show, considering the possibilities that ATI's CrossFire platform will deliver. This RX800 card is based on ATI's X800XT and supports up to 512 MB of GDDR3 memory. Basically, it is a PCI Express card, but MSI decided to also place an AGP bridge on the back of the PCB. As a result, this baby can be used either in AGP or PCIe systems; all you need to do is changing the unusual-looking DVI output connector.

Now imagine using this card with your existing nForce2/nForce3 or 845/865/875 motherboard. You may upgrade to a platform that is CrossFire compatible later on, add an X800 master graphics card and -voila, here is the CrossFire dual graphics platform.

Bluetooth Calculator, Wireless Audio

Now here is something that actually makes sense. The Bluetooth Calculator is attached wirelessly and can also be used as a numeric pad for notebook computers.

This card incorporates both Bluetooth and 802.11g into one board, using a single antenna.

These wireless audio devices allow for transmitting an audio source coming from a 3.5 mm connector via Bluetooth to the receiver. The range is about 33 feet (10 meters) and the quality is expected to be sufficient.
