How to flash the BIOS

DON'T FLASH WHEN YOUR SYSTEM IS RUNNING FINE!!!!
DON'T FLASH IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING!!!!
Flash AMI UEFI BIOS by USB Disk Under DOS Mode
-
1. Know your model number
a. Open your case and look for the MS-XXXX number and the version number on the motherboard between the PCI slots
b. Boot up your system & press “delete” key to enter BIOS screen to double confirm BIOS version.

Download the BIOS that matches your motherboard and version number to your USB device.

Extract the BIOS-zip file that you have downloaded and paste it to your USB storage device (Note: Make sure that your USB is bootable).

Boot your system from a USB storage device

When you get the DOS prompt, execute the following sequence:

Reboot your system when prompted

After bios update is done, C: prompt will appear on your screen.
Flash AMI UEFI BIOS by MFLASH
-
Know your model number
a. Open your case and look for the MS-XXXX number and the version number on the motherboard between the PCI slots
b.Boot up your system & press “delete” key to enter BIOS screen to double confirm BIOS version.

Download the BIOS that matches your motherboard and version number to your USB device.

Extract the BIOS-zip file that you have downloaded and paste it to your USB storage device.

Press “delete” key to enter BIOS setup, select “Utilities” and select “M-Flash”
-
Click “Select one file to update BIOS”

Select USB storage that comes with the downloaded BIOS.
(below shows the USB storage device use for bios update).

Select BIOS which you want to update and press “Enter”.

After finish updating BIOS, the system will auto reboot.
Flash AMI UEFI BIOS by MFLASH (update BIOS and ME)

Check your Motherboard model number and version number
a.Open your case and look for the MS-XXXX number and the version number on the motherboard between the PCI slots
b. Boot up your system & press “delete” key to enter BIOS screen to double confirm BIOS version.

Download the correct BIOS file that matches your motherboard and version number in to your USB device.
(You can search and download it from MSI web site: www.msi.com )

Extract the BIOS-zip file that you have downloaded and paste it to your USB storage device.

Reboot your system and press “delete” key to enter BIOS setup, select “Utilities” and select “M-Flash”

Click “select one file to update BIOS and ME”

Select USB storage that comes with the downloaded BIOS.

Select the BIOS file that you wishes to update and press “Enter”.

System will start to update BIOS after selecting the bios file. Note: Do not remove USB storage drive when flashing Bios and system will auto reboot after bios update reached 50%
-
After auto reboot, system will start updating Bios ME, please do not remove USB storage drive or shutdown the system.

After finish updating BIOS, wait for 5 sec then the system will automatically reboot.
