First thing to check is whether the modem router device is operational.
If the modem router device is working fine, please check your network adaptor driver software and operating system of the computer to make sure they are both updated to the latest.
How to troubleshoot the internet device?
Reboot your modem router device and wait for 15 minutes to allow connection to re-establish with the network.
Try a different network cable or on a different device (eg: another PC, tablets or mobile devices…etc)
Make sure the modem router device is free from any signal interferences
Reset your router to factory settings
How to troubleshoot driver software and operating system?
Shut down possible applications/programs that could affect the network speed.
Make sure there is no network speed limitations set by applications/programs.
Update the network adaptor driver.
- Let’s take “MEG Trident X 10th” as an example. Please visit the MSI website, click on the “Search Icon” on the top right hand corner of the page. Type in the model name “MEG Trident X 10th”, and hit “Enter”。
- Look for “MEG Trident X 10th” and click on “Download”.
- Click on “Driver” and select the operating system version to download the drivers.
- Notes:
“Lan Driver” is for the corded network adaptor driver.
“WiFi Driver” is for the wireless network adaptor driver.
- Download both corded and wireless drivers and run the setup files accordingly as shown in the demonstration pictures below.
- Follow the on-screen prompt until installation is complete.
- Right-click on “This PC” on your windows desktop and select “Manage”
- Click on “Device Manager” and go to “Network Adapters” to see if both Ethernet(corded) and WiFi (wireless) drivers are installed.
If you have tried all the methods above and the issue still persists, please check “How to recovery the operating system?” and try doing a factory reset.
