You can check your CPU's support status by searching for the motherboard's CPU support specifications or checking the motherboard's CPU support report.
Check Motherboard CPU Support Specifications
1. Go to the MSI Official Website, search for the corresponding motherboard, and view the CPU support specifications.
For example, for the MPG Z390M GAMING EDGE AC model, go to the official website, click the search icon in the upper right corner, enter the model name, and press "Enter" to search.
2. Find the MPG Z390M GAMING EDGE AC and click "Specification."
3. Click "DETAIL" and check the CPU support specifications in the "PROCESSOR" section.
For example, the MPG Z390M GAMING EDGE AC motherboard supports Intel® Core™ 9000 series processors, 8th Gen Intel® Core™, Pentium® Gold, and Celeron® processors with an LGA1151 socket.
Check Motherboard CPU Support Report
1. On the CPU support specifications page, click "See supported processors."
2. The processors listed in the report are supported by the motherboard.
The "Processor" column shows the processor series.
The "Core Name" column indicates the processor architecture code.
The "CPU Model" column lists the processor model number.
The "FSB" column shows the processor's front-side bus speed.
The "CPU Speed" column indicates the processor's base frequency.
The "L2" column shows the processor's L2 cache memory size.
The "L3" column shows the processor's L3 cache memory size.
The "Stepping" column indicates the processor's stepping.
The "Wattage" column shows the processor's thermal design power (TDP).
The "GPU" column shows the processor's integrated graphics, with "N/A" indicating no integrated graphics.
The "Result" column indicates the minimum BIOS version required for the motherboard to support the CPU.
