When your notebook's built-in speaker has no sound output, please follow the steps below for troubleshooting.
System settings
• No sound at all from the speaker
1. Select "System", then click on "Sound".
2. Click on "More sound settings".
3. Choose "Playback" and set the speaker as the default playback device, then click "Properties".
4. Check the "Levels" to ensure the speaker is not in mute mode.
• No sound from specific applications
1. Right-click on the sound icon → Click on "Open volume mixer".
2. Under the applications, make sure the specific application is not muted.
Update driver
Please refer to [Notebook] How to update the driver? and download the audio card driver from the MSI official website, then perform the driver update.
EC Reset
Please refer to [Notebook] How to Reset Embedded Controller (EC reset) to reset the EC of the device and then confirm whether the problem is resolved.
Update BIOS
If the above methods do not resolve your issue, please refer to [Notebook] How to update BIOS? and update your BIOS to the latest version. After updating the BIOS, check if the problem is resolved.
Run Windows Update
1. Enter "Windows Update settings" in the system search field and click "Open".
2. After entering the Windows update page, the system will automatically check for available updates and download them. Once downloaded, click "Install all".
Note: Some updates may require a computer restart after installation. Do not shut down the computer during the restart process to avoid update failure.
3. After updating, you can click “Update history” to view detailed information on recent updates.
